idolm@ster fans within the NicoNicoDouga community is doing a 27 hour event within NicoNicoDouga.
It is great to see those activities coming voluntarily from the fans!
You can see the time table here (although it is in Japanese...)
Basically, various im@s MAD producers will submit their videos based on the time table.
Initially they planned to do this as a 12 hour event, but because so many people wanted to join they extended it to a 27 hour event with more that 240 creators.
Videos will be uploaded based on the following 3 categories:
PERFECT SUN: entertainment, sports, etc
WANDERING STAR:animation, dramas, etc
MISSING MOON:music, news, etc.
MISSING MOON:music, news, etc.
This is the opening video (most of it is Japanese...)
So far it looks like WakamuraP's video is getting #1 views (and yes, Wakamura-P is my favorite im@s MAD producer!)
They even had a commercial film for the event :)

8/30 and 8/31 is another event day for Niconico douga users. It is called Cine☆MAD.
It is an event to put together novel video creators and PVMAD creators to create videos together.
There were 3 commercial videos created prior to this date, and 3 videos uploaded based on time table today.
There will be 4 more videos uploaded tomorrow.
Videos will be created based on the collaboration of the 2 parties, PV & novel creators.

After this announcement, some people felt it was too exclusive. OkidoP decided to propose another event more open and freely for people to create videos and upload them with "Neta☆MAD" tag as a rival event to Cine☆MAD. As of 4:30 AM of 8/31, there are 189 videos tagged Neta☆MAD and more PVs actually...

8/29 was Makoto, one of the idolm@ster characters' birthday, and lots of videos were uploaded.
"8/29 is Makoto's birthday" tag has 191 videos.
8/30 was an "event day" for many people.
One of the events was "Tokachi Gold". It was a live DJ/VJ event of idolm@ster fans.I was unable to go to the event, but was listening to the music online via ustream, and it was really fun!
Creators of idolm@ster uses "P" after their names - "P" stands for "producers", as in-game, players are supposed to be the producer of those idol singers.
Those producers include my favorite producer, WakamuraP.
His videos are amazing, he was performing as DJ as well as VJ today :)

While watching the ustreamed DJing, folks were writing comments while watching the blacked out screen with only the DJ sounds. You can see how people are commenting just as if they are watching Niconicodouga- danmaku comments!
As you may have noticed, this is very similar to the way people watches NicoNicoDouga and NicoNicoLive (NicoNicoNamahousou)

Following is one of WakamuraP's videos, a remix of 15 Perfume songs * idolm@ster videos. I think it is difficult to understand what is great about this video when you see it for the first time. The song is sung by a group called Perfume, and WakamuraP remixed some videos from idolm@ster, most of the backgrounds and effects and synced them. All of the lip-sync and motion-sync etc.

Because of the capacity of the venue, many people were unable to participate although they tried to register. People who could not join Tokachi Gold planned another meeting and did a karaoke party.
